Hosting @Poornima “In The Studio”

Over the past 15 months, I’ve been producing a TV segment weekly, and they’re finally hitting YouTube, so I’m going to share them with you here. I’ll try to post a few times a week, in no particular order. The first one features my good friend Poornima Vijayashanker. It’s a great last name for a great person, everyone should know Poornima. (She’s just @poornima on Twitter; if you don’t follow her, you should). Poornima has a really strong technical background, as well as strong operational experience on the startup side, and her new project — Femgineer — is something you should really check out. Poornima is on her way to being a star and inspires many young folks to get into programming and product development through her educational work. Specifically in this video (originally shot in the spring of 2012), Poornima shares interesting reasons why she, as a female, chose the path of engineering and how, counterintuitively, helps her achieve her goals both inside work and outside of professional life. I’d love for you to watch the video and share your thoughts/insights from the chat.
